The Holy Lama Naturals was established in 2000 in Kerala, India by Vijay Deo, following his father, D V Deos footsteps, who was the pioneer in essential oils industry in India. There are two premium quality product ranges produced under the brand: natural body care products and Spice Drops.
Our sustainable business model is founded on working closely with local farmers to ensure that our sources of raw, natural herbs, spices, and other ingredients are high quality, consistent and reliable. This includes extracting and bottling the essential oils and spice concentrates close to the source. The factory also recycles and re-uses almost all the by-products. For example, the shells from the coconut oil production are converted into fuel. Our production cycle reconciles the seasonality of the raw materials with the need to ensure year round supply to our customers.
We employ mainly disadvantaged women both at the factory and in the community. These women would otherwise struggle to support their families. Our company proactively supports education and health for its employees and their children.
Holy Lama Naturals is an ISO 9001:2008 and GMP certified company. We have been awarded membership of the Vegan Society for manufacturing cruelty free products and the British Association for Fair Trade Shops & Suppliers (BAFTS) for following the fair trade principles.
